My current selected bibliography on evangelicals and evolution was getting a little long in the tooth (over two years without an update). I have now posted an updated PDF version of the selected bibliography. These are all resources that I have found helpful in my own research into the interaction of evolutionary science and an evangelical expression of the Christian faith.
Note that this is a personal bibliography and is thus biased to my own set of interests (eg. historical context of the dialogue, and the theological implications of evolution); it is certainly not a comprehensive list of resources. For example, the Haarsma’s Origins book is not on the list since I haven’t read it. However, this might be the first book I recommend to an evangelical from the reformed tradition who is investigating evolution & its faith implications for the first time.
As well as uploading the PDF version to scribd, I’ve reproduced the list of resources below.

Steve,
Great compilation. Thanks!
I suggest you add Kenneth Miller's "Only a Theory" You'll probably get more comments like this than you want, but I think you'll agree this is a significant omission.
Steve, I just came across your fine blog through a google search on the theme. Thanks for the bibliography. I've been wrestling through some of these very ideas via my own blog at evolutionarytheology.wordpress.com.
I look forward to reading through your posts and ebooks for helpful material!
p.s. Just finishing Walton's Lost World of Genesis One, which I see is in your bib. Very helpful contribution!
Hi cliff:
Thanks. You are right and in fact, I could probably write an entire "Selected Bibliography of Significant Omissions". Alas, I just don't have time to read everything that is relevant - but I think this is a good thing; that means there is much new material being produced in this field (which couldn't be said even a generation ago).
Tim: Welcome and thanks. I have added your blog to my RSS feed.
Awesome bibliography! Three things:
1. You spelt Denis Lamoureux's name wrong. You spelt it Lamoureau - you're missing the 'x'.
2. Denis Lamoureux has another book out, a popular book summing up his longer Evolutionary Creationism book called "I Love Jesus & I Accept Evolution" and it can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Love-Jesus-Accept-Evolution/dp/1556358865/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258245084&sr=8-2
3. What are the best sources dealing with the problem of evil and evolution from a Christian perspective?
Thanks Tory. Yikes - that was embarrassing - the spelling of Denis's name has been fixed.
re: Denis's second book, I guess it's the same comment I made above to cliff; I haven't got around to that yet.
re: the problem of evil & evolution, that was exactly the question I asked Bethany in Eric's last post. She pointed me to Southgate's The Groaning of Creation. I picked it up this week and am reading it now.
Although not specifically confined to theodicy, I highly recommend Polkinghorne's Science and Providence. It has a chapter on evil in which he defines a "Free Process Theodicy".
Another one you may want to check out is David Bentley Hart's The Doors of the Sea. Cliff reviewed it here. But this is another book I haven't been able to get to yet.
Hi Steve. You also misspelled Dembski's.
Doug,
Doh ... this was something I fixed 2 years ago BUT my workflow (reworks export -> refworks -> Word -> Adobe) was using an old DB ... I know, I know too much information. Anyways, fixed in the post ... I'll try and fix the PDF tonight. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks!
